The Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia (CTUA) ( hy, Հայաստանի արհմիությունների կոնֆեդերացիա), is a national trade union center of Armenia. It is led by Chairman Eduard Tumasyan. About The Confederation was established on 1 October 1992 and currently unites 23 trade union branches, which includes over 730 organizations. The Pan-European Regional Council (PERC) is a European trade union organization within the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). It includes 87 national trade union centres with a total membership of over 85 million. PERC also works closely with the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), and currently John Monks is general secretary of both organizations. Trade unions in Armenia are afforded the right to organize by the Constitution of Armenia. Armenian workers in most sectors have the right to form and join labor unions and the right to strike is enshrined in Armenia’s constitution.
