The term conceptual model refers to any model that is formed after a wikt:concept#Noun, conceptualization or generalization process. A model is an informative representation of an object, person, or system. Data Flow Diagram
A data-flow diagram is a way of representing a flow of data through a process or a system (usually an information system). The DFD also provides information about the outputs and inputs of each entity and the process itself. A data-flow diagram has no control are no decision rules and no loops. A state diagram is used in computer science and related fields to describe the behavior of systems. State diagrams require that the system is composed of a finite number of states.
