National Committee Of The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference
The National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is the national-level organization that represents the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the political advisory body in the People's Republic of China. The CPPCC National Committee is composed of a chairman, several vice chairpersons, a secretary-general and regular members. The National Committee of the CPPCC typically holds a yearly meeting at the same time as plenary sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC). The CPPCC National Committee and NPC plenary sessions are collectively called the Two Sessions. When the CPPCC National Committee is not in session, the Standing Committee of the National Committee exercises most of its powers on its behalf. Wu Yingjie ( zh, s=吴英杰; born December 1956) is a Chinese politician based in Tibet who formerly served as Party Secretary of Tibet, the top official in Tibet. Originally from Shandong province, Wu grew up in Tibet and worked for his entire career in the region. He became Deputy Party Secretary of Tibet in 2011 and served in the post for nearly five years before being elevated to party chief. Biography Wu was born in Changyi County, Shandong province. His father received a job assignment in the Tibetan Plateau when he was just one year old, so he moved to the region with his family. Wang Taihua (; born October 1945) is a politician of the People's Republic of China, between 2004 and 2011, he served as director of the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television (SARFT). Biography Born in Xingguo, Jiangxi Province, Wang started working in September 1969, and joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in June 1973. He obtained a postgraduate degree at the CCP Central Party School. Wang served in Jiangxi for years.
