Committee On Foreign Affairs (parliament Of Sweden)
(Parliamentary) Committee on Foreign Affairs () (UU) is a Parliamentary committees in the Riksdag, parliamentary committee in the Swedish Riksdag. The committee prepares matters concerning the state's relationship to and agreements with other states and international organizations, assistance to other countries' development, representing the Swedish state abroad, as well as helping with diplomatic situations abroad. The committee also handles matters concerning foreign trade and international economic cooperation. They also handle matters that non of the other seventeen other parliamentary committees handle. The Committee on Foreign Affairs should not be confused with the Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs, which is a forum for the Government to discuss and seek support for its foreign policy with the Riksdag. Parliamentary Committees In The Riksdag
There are fifteen parliamentary committees in the Riksdag, Sweden's parliament. Each committee is made up of seventeen elected MPs, with at least one member from each political party. Additionally, the committee on EU Affairs, while not one of the standing committees, has a similar role. Current committees ;Committee on Civil Affairs :The Committee on Civil Affairs was formed on 1 October 2006. This committee overtook issues that were previously handled by the Committee on Civil Law and the Committee on Housing. The Liberals (, L), formerly known as the Liberal People's Party () until 22 November 2015, is a conservative-liberal political party in Sweden. The Liberals ideologically have shown a broad variety of liberal tendencies. Currently they are seen as following economic liberalism and have been described as being centre-right. Pierre Schori
Jean-Pierre Olov Schori (born 14 October 1938) is a Swedish diplomat and politician. For many years he was international secretary in the Swedish Social Democratic Party and a close assistant to the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme. He assisted Palme in the Socialist International Movement and took part in the struggle against the fascist rule in Greece, Portugal and Spain. Schori is among the editors-in-chief of '' Tiden'', a theoretical journal of the Social Democratic Party. He graduated from Lund University in 1962 with an M.A degree. The Centre Party ( , C) is a liberal political party in Sweden, founded in 1913. The party focuses on the national economy, the environment, political decentralisation and social integration. Pär Granstedt (born 1945) is a Swedish politician and former member of the Parliament of Sweden for the Centre Party from 1973 to 1994. He is a founding member of AWEPA, Association of European Parliamentarians with Africa.
