"Come to Me (I Am Woman)" is a 1984 song by ABBA singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad, known professionally as Frida. The song was a single in selected countries from her second English-language solo album '' Shine''. "Come to Me (I Am Woman)" was written by Eddie Howell and David Dundas and selected by Frida and producer Steve Lillywhite before the recording sessions for the album had commenced in Studio de la Grand Armée, Paris as a ballad. Release "Come to Me (I Am Woman)" was chosen as the follow-up single to " Shine" in late October 1984 in Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands and South Africa, with "Slowly" as the B-side, a song written by ABBA members, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. The German pressing had a shorter mix of 4:24. The song was performed live on several occasions, on the Swedish show ''Razzel'' as well as ''Na Sowas-Extra'' in Germany. Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad (born 15 November 1945), also known simply as Frida, is a Swedish singer who is best known as one of the founding members and lead singers of the pop band ABBA. Courtesy titles ''Principality of Reuss-Gera, Princess Reuss'' and ''Countess of Plauen'' are also in use because of her third marriage. Born in Bjørkåsen (in Ballangen Municipality), Norway, to a Norwegian mother and a German father, she grew up in Torshälla, Sweden, and started her first solo career there, as a jazz singer in 1967, through a talent competition called ''New Faces''. ''Opportunity Knocks'' is a British television and radio talent show originally hosted by Hughie Green, with a late-1980s revival hosted by Bob Monkhouse, and later by previous winner Les Dawson. From its origin on BBC Radio in 1949 the show provided a platform to fame for acts such as Spike Milligan and Frankie Vaughan. One of the most popular shows on British television, in the 1960s and 1970s it had a weekly audience of 20 million viewers. The original radio version started on the BBC Light Programme, where it ran from 18 February to 29 September 1949, but moved to Radio Luxembourg in the 1950s. ''Pebble Mill at One'' was a British television magazine programme that was broadcast live on weekdays at one o'clock on BBC1, from 2 October 1972 to 23 May 1986, and again from 14 October 1991 to 29 March 1996. Ann Lennox (born 25 December 1954) is a Scottish singer-songwriter, political activist and philanthropist.
