Come Home (Sons Of Zion Song)
"Come Home" is a song by New Zealand band Sons of Zion, released as a single in 2019. Intended as a follow-up to their hit single "Drift Away" (2018), the song was a success in New Zealand, receiving a gold certification by Recorded Music New Zealand. Background and composition "Come Home" was a song that the band worked on for an extended time, and wanted to express the feeling of deciding whether or not to end a relationship. The song was written collaboratively by the members of the band, based on a tune created by Matthew Sadgrove on the guitar. The song also features writing by bandmember Caleb Haapu's brother Seth Haapu. Release and promotion "Come Home" was released as a single on 14 June 2019. To promote the single, Sons of Zion performed Come Home Tour, an eight-date tour across New Zealand in August 2019. Sons Of Zion
Sons of Zion is a six-member New Zealand reggae band who formed in 2007 in Pakuranga, Auckland. They became widely famous in New Zealand in early 2018, due to the popularity of their single "Drift Away". Biography Band members Sam Eriwata and Joel Latimer grew up together in Auckland. They formed a youth band together when they attended Edgewater College in Pakuranga. The trio met Rio Panapa, originally from Rotorua, through joint church services where bands from different chapters of their church performed. Eventually Panapa moved to Auckland and joined Samuel Eriwata's youth band. The original line-up featured Rio Panapa as lead vocalist and guitarist, Samuel Eriwata on drums, Joel Latimer on keyboards and Dylan Stewart, a bassist who moved from Whangārei to Auckland to join the band. ''First XV'' is a compilation album released by New Zealand band Sons of Zion in October 2022, as their final release through Sony Music New Zealand. The album compiles songs from their albums ''Universal Love'' (2013), '' Vantage Point'' (2018), and other singles by the band released between 2014 and 2022. Production The band began recording their fourth studio album to follow up ''Vantage Point'' (2018) in 2019 in Los Angeles, which they planned to release in early 2020. "Drift Away" is a song by New Zealand band Sons of Zion, released as a single in March 2018. The song was a hit in New Zealand, becoming double platinum certified and was nominated for the Single of the Year at the New Zealand Music Awards.
