Combichrist
Combichrist is an American Electro-industrial, aggrotech / industrial metal band formed in 2003 by Norwegian vocalist Andy LaPlegua, who also founded the bands Icon of Coil, Panzer AG, Scandinavian Cock and Scandy. Combichrist was formed in Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia. The band consists of only LaPlegua in the studio, with a changing lineup of live performing members. Releases by the band have been very successful in terms of sales and charted in top positions for dance and alternative charts worldwide. Andy LaPlegua
Ole Anders Olsen (born 15 September 1975), known professionally as Andy LaPlegua, is a Norwegian singer, originally known for being founder and lead vocalist of futurepop band Icon of Coil. He also gained fame in the aggrotech and electro-industrial scenes as founder and lead vocalist of Combichrist and Panzer AG. Biography Following the death of Prince, LaPlegua revealed that the biggest musical influences in his life growing up in the early '80s were David Bowie, Motörhead, Prince, The Cure, and Dead Kennedys. Originally a part of several scenes in Norway, LaPlegua experimented with hip-hop in the Detroit techno/Old School band LAW, industrial in Devils into Crime, punk in My Right Choice/Fleshfire and metal in Lash Out. He also found interest in trance and club music making his mark on the scene with his involvement in the bands Plastic Life and Sector9. ''Get Your Body Beat'' is an EP by the aggrotech band Combichrist. It is considered to be the band's break-out single. Panzer AG
Panzer AG is the name of an aggrotech/industrial rock side-project by Norwegian Andy LaPlegua, the founder of futurepop band Icon of Coil. Formed in 2004, Panzer AG's sound combines Power noise, Industrial, Trance, Rock and other genres to create a caustic but danceable form of music. History After experimenting with a variety of music styles, such as Futurepop with Icon of Coil, as well as aggrotech, power noise and industrial with Combichrist, LaPlegua furthered his sound by increasing the aggressiveness of both his lyrical content and his music. Kourtney Klein
Kourtney Klein is a music producer, vocalist, keyboardist, and drummer who is best known as the lead vocalist the synthpop band Army on the Dance Floor. She was previously a member of Combichrist. Biography Klein grew up in Temecula, California. A classically trained mallet percussionist, she attended Riverside Community College, where she studied sound engineering. In 2005, she hosted the Spike TV show ''Boom! (TV series), Boom!''. She performed as a touring musician for industrial music, industrial bands Nitzer Ebb and Combichrist between 2006 and 2009 before forming her own group, Army on the Dance Floor, in 2011.
