Clément Desalle
Clément Desalle (born 19 May 1989) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 2006 to 2020. Desalle raced in the premier 450cc class for his entire motocross career, finishing second four times, third twice and fourth twice. Motocross career Born in La Louvière, Belgium, Desalle began competing in the premier MXGP class as soon as he became a professional racer in 2006. In his fourth season of competition, he won his first Grand Prix race in the Czech Republic and placed third in the 2009 FIM Motocross World Championship season riding for the LS Motors-Honda team. Between 2010 and 2013 would rank either second or third in the motocross world championships while riding for the Teka-Suzuki team run by Sylvain Geboers with former motocross world champion Eric Geboers as the team manager. 2010 FIM Motocross World Championship Season
The 2010 FIM Motocross World Championship was the 54th season of World Championship motocross competition. It consisted of three different classes; MX1 and MX2 classes over 15 events beginning on April 4 in Sevlievo, Bulgaria and ending on September 12 in Fermo, Italy, and MX3 over 12 events also beginning on April 4 in Cortelha, Portugal and ending on September 5 in Geneva, Switzerland. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Antonio Cairoli dominated the MX1 class, taking exactly half of the victories on offer; 15 victories and 23 podiums in total allowed him to claim his second successive championship title by 88 points, scoring points in all bar two races. The 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship was the 60th FIM Motocross World Championship season. It included 19 events, starting at Losail in Qatar on 27 February, and ending at San Bernardino, California in the United States on 11 September. In the main MXGP class, Romain Febvre was the defending champion after taking his first title in 2015. In the MX2 class, Tim Gajser was the defending champion, after taking his first title in 2015. Ken De Dycker
Ken De Dycker (born 6 June 1984) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 2004 to 2018. De Dycker represented Belgium at the Motocross des Nations four times and was a member of the winning Belgium team at the 2013 Motocross des Nations event that included Clément Desalle and Jeremy Van Horebeek. Motocross career De Dycker was born in Neerpelt, Belgium. His best results in the motocross world championships was a third-place finish in the 2008 FIM Motocross World Championship season riding for the Teka-Suzuki team run by Sylvain Geboers and another third place finish in 2013. For the 2010 season, he switched to the Yamaha team run by former motocross world champion Michele Rinaldi. Eric Geboers
Eric Geboers (5 August 1962 – 6 May 2018) was a Belgian professional motocross racer and racing driver. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1980 to 1990, winning five world championships in eleven years. Geboers is notable for being the first motocross competitor to win world championships in the 125cc, 250cc, and 500cc divisions. Geboers' 39 career Grand Prix victories ranks him fifth overall among motocross world championship competitors. In 1988, he was named the recipient of the Belgian National Sports Merit Award. In 2011, Geboers was named an FIM Legend for his motorcycling achievements. Geboers died in a drowning accident in 2018. Sylvain Geboers
Sylvain Geboers (born March 28, 1945) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer and motocross racing team manager. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1968 to 1977. Motocross career Geboers was born in Mol, Belgium. He was one of the top motocross racers of the late 1960s and early 1970s, finishing in the top three of the F.I.M. 250cc motocross World Championships for five consecutive years from 1968 to 1972. Although he was often overshadowed by his ČZ and Suzuki teammate, Joël Robert, he was a respected competitor known as a sand track specialist. Geboers played an integral role in the introduction of the sport of motocross in the United States by participating in the fledgling AMA Trans-AMA Motocross Series.
