Club Salto Del Guairá
Club Social y Deportivo Salto del Guairá is a sports club in Paraguay located in the city of the same name, in the Department of Canindeyú. It was founded on July 5, 1964, and its main activity is football. It initially participated in its regional league, the Liga Deportiva Salto del Guairá (equivalent to the fourth division), but since 2022 it began its foray into the Primera División B Nacional, one of the third division leagues of the country. Estadio Emigdio Vallejos Its stadium is named in honor of Don Emigdio Vallejos, a prominent former goalkeeper and former president of the club. Saltos del Guairá () is a city in Paraguay and the capital of Canindeyú department. It is located about 200 km north of Ciudad del Este. It borders the Brazilian municipality of Guaíra, across the Paraná River which marks the border between Paraguay and Brazil. The name "Guaíra" comes from the Tupi language and means "place difficult to access". The name "Saltos del Guairá", which means "Guairá Falls" in Spanish, is named after the Guaíra Falls (just like its Brazilian twin city), which were located on the border with Brazil. The falls were submerged after the construction of the Itaipu Dam in 1982 created the Itaipú lake. Vladimir Marín Ríos (born 26 September 1979) is a Colombian association football, football attacking midfielder and coach. He plays for List of football clubs in Paraguay, Obreros Unidos in the Liga Hernandariense. He represented Colombia national football team, Colombia from 2006 to 2009. The Paraguayan football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for football clubs in Paraguay. Overview At the top is the ''Primera División'' or ''División de Honor'' (first division) with 12 clubs. Below the 1st level is the ''Intermedia'' (second division). In order to get promoted to the Intermedia there are two subdivisions at the 3rd level: the ''Primera División B Metropolitana'', which comprises teams from the Gran Asunción area; and the ''Primera División B Nacional'' which contains the best teams from the different Departments of Paraguay.
