Club Nacional De Football (basketball)
Club Nacional de Football, commonly known as simply Nacional, is the basketball section of the Club Nacional de Football club, based in Montevideo, Uruguay. The men's first team plays professionally in the Liga Uruguaya de Básquetbol. Home games of the team are played in the Polideportivo Gran Parque Central, where there is capacity for 400 people. Nacional participates in the tournaments organised by the Uruguayan basketball federation Uruguayan Basketball Federation, Federación Uruguaya de Basketball (known as FUBB) since 1932. The club won the championships of 1935 and 1937. Nowadays, Nacional takes part in the Liga Uruguaya de Basketball, Uruguayan basketball first division. Liga Uruguaya De Básquetbol
The Liga Uruguaya de Básquetbol (abbreviated as LUB; English language, English: ''Uruguayan Basketball League'') is the highest professional club basketball league in Uruguay. It is organized by the Uruguayan Basketball Federation (FUBB). The Uruguayan Basketball League competition began in 2003. Before that time, the Uruguayan basketball championships were only local metropolitan, and no competitions brought together all the clubs in the country. Until the Liga Uruguaya de Básquetbol was created, the capital clubs participated in the Campeonato Uruguayo Federal de Básquetbol (Uruguayan Federal Basketball Championship), while the clubs of the rest of the country competed in regional tournaments. La Blanqueada is a ''barrio'' (neighbourhood or district) in Uruguay's capital Montevideo. Location It borders Tres Cruces to the west, Larrañaga to the northwest, Unión to the northeast and Parque Batlle to the south. It is home to the Military Hospital. Club Nacional de Football (, ''National Football Club'') is a Uruguayan professional sports club based in La Blanqueada, La Blanqueada, Montevideo. The Uruguayan Basketball Federation (, FUBB) is the governing body of basketball in Uruguay. 2024–25 LUB Season
The 2024–25 LUB season, was the 22nd season of the top Uruguayan professional basketball league, since its establishment in 2003. It began with Malvín's victory over Biguá for the regular season, on 24 October 2024, and ended on 1 June 2025, with the seventh game of the finals. Nacional was the champion, beating the defending champion, Aguada, in a historic series being the first team to comeback after a 1–3 in finals. Quincy Cortez Miller-Scott (born November 18, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the San Miguel Beermen of the East Asia Super League (EASL) and the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played for the Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings and Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as the Reno Bighorns, Iowa Energy and Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League.
