"Clones (We're All)" is a 1980 single by American rock singer Alice Cooper taken from his fifth solo studio album ''Flush the Fashion'' (1980). Background The song is about forced conformity. Cooper reports that he wanted to do the song because he was looking for a new sound. The song was written by David Carron (1949–85), who had created the group Shenandoah, which went on to play with Arlo Guthrie, and the short-lived ''Gulliver.'' Chart performance The song peaked at No.40 in the US ''Billboard'' charts, Cooper's first top 40 single in two years. Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier, February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer whose career spans over five decades. With a raspy voice and a stage show that features numerous props and stage illusions, including pyrotechnics, guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, reptiles, baby dolls, and dueling swords, Cooper is considered by many music journalists and peers to be "The Godfather of Shock Rock". He has drawn equally from horror films, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a macabre and theatrical brand of rock designed to shock audiences. Bile is an American industrial metal project based in New York City. Although there have been many different members throughout the band's career, Krztoff is the songwriting, recording and conceptual leader. The group has performed with as many as 11 and as small as two people on stage. The early shows in 1993–95 New York included a dominatrix and fire-breather. The Epoxies were an American new wave band from Portland, Oregon, formed in 2000. Heavily influenced by new wave, the band jokingly described themselves as robot garage rock. Members included FM Static on synthesizers, guitarist Viz Spectrum, lead singer Roxy Epoxy, bass guitarist Shock Diode, and drummer Ray Cathode. They grew in popularity due in large part to extensive touring in both the United States and Europe where they showcased frantically paced, highly energetic on-stage productions.
