In November 2001 he signed a 5-year contract with Iraty. He played for the team at 2003 Copa do Brasil. In 2004, he was loaned to Paraná and played 21 matches in 2004 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Biography After playing for RC Strasbourg as a junior, he went on to Atlético Paranaense before being signed by Australian A-League club Melbourne Victory for the 2006–07 season. Career Born in Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Claudinho represented hometown side Santa Cruz-RS as a youth before making his senior debut with Avenida in the 2010 Campeonato Gaúcho. He moved to Cruzeiro-RS later in that year, and subsequently had loan spells at Metropolitano and two stints at Juventude.
