Henri Decoin
Henri Decoin (18 March 1890 – 4 July 1969) was a French film director and screenwriter, who directed more than 50 films between 1933 and 1964. He was also a swimmer who won the national title in 1911 and held the national record in the 500 m freestyle. He competed in the Swimming at the 1908 Summer Olympics – Men's 400 metre freestyle, 400 m freestyle at the 1908 Summer Olympics and in the Water polo at the 1912 Summer Olympics, water polo tournament at the 1912 Summer Olympics. Biography During World War I, Decoin served as a pilot. After that he worked as a sports journalist for ''L'Équipe, L'Auto'', ''L'Intransigeant'' and ''Paris-Soir''. Françoise Prévost (13 January 1930 – 30 November 1997) was a French actress, journalist and author. She was the daughter of writer Marcelle Auclair. She appeared in more than 70 films between 1949 and 1985. Life and career Prévost was born and died in Paris, France. She made her film debut at 18, in '' Jean de la Lune''. After several minor roles she emerged with the Nouvelle Vague, with roles of weight in films by Pierre Kast, Jean-Gabriel Albicocco and Jacques Rivette. Starting from 1960s she was also pretty active in the Italian cinema, starring in leading roles in dramas, comedies and genre films. Jean Piat (23 September 1924 – 18 September 2018) was a French actor and writer. Life Piat was born in Lannoy, Nord. He enlisted in the Comédie-Française on 1 September 1947, and became a member on 1 January 1953. He left the Comédie-Française on 31 December 1972, and became an honorary member the following day. He was an officer in the Légion d'honneur and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, and a grand officer in the Ordre national du Mérite. He was married to actress Françoise Engel (who died in 2005), and was a professor in the dramatic arts of the Simon Course.
