Civil Aviation Authority Of Macau
The Civil Aviation Authority (, , AACM) is the civil aviation authority of Macau. It is responsible for controlling and regulating the air traffic and airspace within Macau. Its head office is on the 18th floor of the Cheng Feng Commercial Centre in Sé. The AACM is an agency under the Secretariat for Transport and Public Works. It was formally created in 1991 to replace the Macau International Airport Office that had been established in 1987. Some of the roles of the Airport Office was taken over by the CAM-Macau International Airport Company Limited. The AACM is headed by a president who reports to the general committee (as a member) and the administrative committee (as the head). , Simon Chan Weng Hong is the president of the AACM. Sé is a southeast Freguesia (Macau), civil parish in the Macau Peninsula of Macau. It is the second largest peninsular district in Macau after the civil parish of Freguesia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Macau), Nossa Senhora de Fátima. Macau International Airport is an international airport in the special administrative region of Macau, situated at the eastern end of Taipa island and neighbouring waters. It opened for commercial operations on 9 November 1995, during Portuguese administration of the region. Since its opening, the airport has been a common transfer point for people traveling between mainland China and Taiwan, as well as a passenger hub for destinations in mainland China and Southeast Asia.
