Civic Center station is an elevated subway station in Atlanta, Georgia, serving the Red Line (MARTA), Red and Gold Line (MARTA), Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. It is located in Atlanta's SoNo (Atlanta), SoNo district. This station has seen an increase of faregate totals and ridership in the past years due to the Megabus (North America), Megabus, which drops off and picks up passengers above the station. CobbLinc (formerly Cobb Community Transit) is the bus public transit system in Cobb County, Georgia, one of metro Atlanta's three most populous suburban counties. CobbLinc began operations in July 1989 (as Cobb Community Transit) and has had relatively strong ridership (3,793,253 total passengers in 2005) since then. Operation CobbLinc has two hubs. Marietta Transit Center is along South Marietta Parkway in Marietta, just west of the former Southern Polytechnic State University now the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University. North Avenue is an underground subway station in southern Midtown Atlanta, GA, serving the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. The station is named after the nearby North Avenue. The walls are made of white tile and painted with a mural of green hills, a blue sky, and clouds. The murals were designed by Gordon Anderson while he was a Professor of Art at Georgia State University. Peachtree Center Station
Peachtree Center is an underground subway station on the Red Line (MARTA), Red and Gold Line (MARTA), Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. It is the deepest station in the MARTA rail system, at below Peachtree Street. It serves the Peachtree Center neighborhood of downtown Atlanta, and has access to Georgia State University via the Atlanta Streetcar. It is the first station north-northeast of the rail system hub at Five Points, and is one of the busiest stations on the Red/Gold Lines, handling over 15,000 people per weekday. Airport Station (MARTA)
Airport is an elevated train station and southern terminus on the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system, located at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It is served by the Gold Line (4:30am/1:30am), while the Red Line generally serves it all day until 8:30 PM on weekdays and 8:50 PM on weekends when there is no scheduled track maintenance. It features one of only two Ridestores, the only other one being at Five Points. The upper level consists of an island platform between two tracks, while the mezzanine contains the fare gates inside the airport terminal. The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is a museum dedicated to the achievements of the civil rights movement in the United States and the broader worldwide human rights movement. Located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, the museum opened to the public on June 23, 2014. History Evelyn Lowery, the wife of Joseph Lowery, Juanita Abernathy, the widow of Ralph Abernathy, former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, and House Representative John Lewis initially conceived the concept of the center.
