Bringelly, New South Wales
Bringelly () is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the Northern Road between Penrith and Camden. It has a public school. Bringelly is also the name of a local hill. History Bringelly was a name given to a district of Sydney in the early 19th century and later a parish of the County of Cumberland. The Parish of Bringelly also included the neighbouring suburbs of Greendale, Wallacia and Badgerys Creek. Robert Lowe was granted in the parish of Bringelly in 1812 and is believed to be the first British settler in the area. By 1818, most of the land had been granted and was being cleared for farms. The principal surgeon of New South Wales, D'Arcy Wentworth, received a grant in the area. Bradfield, New South Wales
Bradfield is a suburb in South Western Sydney, north of Bringelly. It was gazetted as a new suburb on 31 March 2023. Bradfield was previously the name of a suburb on the North Shore of Sydney, between 1924 and 1977. It has since been absorbed by neighbouring Lindfield. The name commemorates Dr John Job Crew Bradfield, who oversaw design and construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge between 1913 and 1932 and the development of the city's railways. Aerotropolis Core In March 2021, the NSW Government announced that a 100-hectare section of Bringelly, referred to planning documents as 'Aerotropolis Core', would be named in Dr Bradfield's honour. Austral is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 42 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Liverpool. History The area that now constitutes the suburbs of Austral was a parcel of land in West Hoxton purchased by the Austral Banking and Land Proprietary. When residents pushed for a second public school in the Hoxton Park area in 1891, Austral Banking and Land Proprietary donated of its land for the site and, in return, the school was named Austral Public School. Ashcroft is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia 35 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Liverpool. History The suburb was formed as part of the Housing Commission's Green Valley development.
