City University Of Macau
City University of Macau (CityU; , pt, Universidade da Cidade de Macau) is a private university in Taipa, Macau, China. It was established in 1981 as the University of East Asia. It was renamed as Asia International Open University (Macau) in 1992. The university offers doctorate, master, bachelor's degree programmes and pre-university study courses. The university is ranked 89th place in the "Ranking of Top Universities in Greater China" by Academic Ranking of World Universities (Also known as ShanghaiRanking) in the year of 2020. According to the subject ranking of the Academic Ranking of World Universities released in 2020, The City University of Macau was ranked in the range of 51-75 worldwide in the subject hospitality and tourism management. Chan Meng Kam (; born 9 November 1962 in Ludongcun, Dongshi, Jinjiang, Fujian, China) is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau. Chan Meng Kam is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, President of the Macau Paralympic Committee, Chairman of City University of Macau and Huaqiao University. Personal life Chan arrived in Macau from mainland China when he was 17 years old. Despite the lack of education, he establishes himself as one of the predominant figure in Macau society. The ''Academic Ranking of World Universities'' (''ARWU''), also known as the Shanghai Ranking, is one of the annual publications of world university rankings. The league table was originally compiled and issued by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003, making it the first global university ranking with multifarious indicators.
