Circuit Of Mugello
Mugello Circuit (in italian: ; in english: ''Mugello International Autodrome'') is a motorsport race track in Scarperia e San Piero, Florence, Tuscany, Italy. The circuit length is . It has 15 turns and a long straight. The circuit stadium stands have a capacity of 50,000. Grand Prix motorcycle racing host an annual event at the circuit (for MotoGP and smaller classes). In 2007 and 2008 the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters held an annual event. Since 1988, the track has been owned and used by Scuderia Ferrari for Formula One testing. The first race of the A1GP 2008–09 season was originally planned to be held at the Mugello circuit on 21 September 2008. Scarperia e San Piero is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Florence, in the Italian region Tuscany, located about northeast of Florence. It was created on 1 January 2014 after the merger of former ''comuni'' of Scarperia and San Piero a Sieve. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy"). Scarperia is famous for the production of knives by artisanal family companies. Since 2009, it has been the headquarters of La Marzocco Espresso coffee machine company. The OSCA MT4, also spelled the O.S.C.A. Umberto Maglioli (5 June 1928 – 7 February 1999) was an Italian racing driver, who competed in Formula One at 10 Grands Prix from to . In endurance racing, Maglioli was a three-time winner of the Targa Florio. Maglioli participated in 10 Formula One Grands Prix with Ferrari, Maserati, and Porsche. He achieved two podiums, and scored 3 championship points. He participated in the Targa Florio race nineteen times, winning it three times, and the Mille Miglia ten times, with the best result being a second place in the Lancia Aurelia B20 GT in 1951. Giulio Cabianca (19 February 1923 – 15 June 1961) was a Formula One driver from Italy. Cabianca was born in Verona, northern Italy. He participated in 4 World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on 18 May 1958. He scored a total of 3 championship points. He also participated in one non-Championship Formula One race. He also won the Dolomites Gold Cup Race in 1955. Cabianca's death resulted from a bizarre incident at the Modena Autodrome test track in Italy. The Modena Autodrome was situated near Via Emilia, which crosses the city of Modena. Cabianca was testing a Cooper-Ferrari F1 car, owned by Scuderia Castellotti, when he suffered a suspected gearbox failure. Group 6 was the official designation applied by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA to two motor racing classifications, the Prototype-Sports Car category from 1966 to 1971 and the Two-Seater Racing Cars class from 1976 to 1982. European 2-Litre Championship
The European Sportscar Championship was a name used by several sports car racing championships based in Europe. Initially created in 1970 by the Fédération Internationale du Sport Automobile (FISA) as the European 2-Litre Sports Car Championship for Makes, the series increased in popularity and eventually became part of the World Sports Car Championship in 1976 even after a troubled 1975 season. Only two years later, as interest in sports-prototypes faded, the championship was downgraded from World Championship status and a European championship returned once more, only to be cancelled after its sole 1978 season. Giovanni Giuseppe Gilberto "Nanni" Galli (2 October 1940 – 12 October 2019) was an Italian saloon, sports-car and Formula One driver of the 1960s and 1970s. Born in Bologna, Galli started his career in endurance racing. He won the Circuit of Mugello race in 1968 and finished second in the Targa Florio (with Ignazio Giunti) the same year. In the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans, Galli and Giunti finished 4th in an Alfa Romeo T33/2. The following year at Le Mans, he shared a drive with Robin Widdows and they finished 7th in a Matra. Galli's final appearance at Le Mans was in 1970, where he shared an Alfa Romeo T33/3 with Rolf Stommelen. FIA GT Championship
The FIA GT Championship was a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) at the behest of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship was mostly concentrated in Europe, but throughout the years has visited other continents including Asia and South America.
