Dante Bowe is an American Christian worship singer, and songwriter. He is also a member of Maverick City Music and former member of the Bethel Music collective. In 2017, Bowe released his debut single, "Potter and Friend" featuring Jesse Cline, which was shortly followed with the independent release of his debut studio album, ''Son of a Father''. Bowe signed with Bethel Music in June 2019. In 2020, He made his debut appearance with Bethel with the single "Champion" which was featured on the album ''Revival's in the Air''. Urban/contemporary gospel is a modern subgenre of gospel music. Although the style developed gradually, early forms are generally dated to the 1970s, and the genre was well established by the end of the 1980s. Bethel Music is an American music label and worship movement from Redding, California, originating out of Bethel Church where they started making music in 2001. Bethel Music has grown from being a local church music ministry to a global outreach made up of a collective of songwriters, artists and musicians. The George Floyd protests were a series of protests and civil unrest against police brutality and racism that began in Minneapolis on May 26, 2020, and largely took place during 2020. The civil unrest and protests began as part of international reactions to the murder of George Floyd, a 46-year-old African American man who was murdered during an arrest after Derek Chauvin, a Minneapolis Police Department officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds as three other officers looked on and prevented passers-by from intervening. Chauvin and the other three officers involved were later arrested. In April 2021, Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter.
