Christian Rogelio Benítez Betancourt (1 May 1986 – 29 July 2013), also known as Chucho, was an Ecuadorian professional association football, footballer who played as a striker (association football), striker. He began his career with Club Deportivo El Nacional, El Nacional in Ecuador and then joined Santos Laguna, with whom he won the award for Best Player of the Primera División de México Clausura 2008, Clausura 2008. He spent the 2009–10 season on Loan (association football), loan to Premier League club Birmingham City F.C., Birmingham City, and then moved to Club América for a Mexican record US$10 million, where he was a regular scorer. Jesús Castillo Aguilera (June 17, 1944 – January 15, 2013) was a Mexican professional boxer. Better known as Chucho Castillo, he was the Undisputed, WBA and WBC bantamweight world champion in 1970. Castillo and Rubén Olivares sustained one of the most important rivalries in the history of Mexican boxing. Castillo was described by the boxing book '' The Ring: Boxing In The 20th Century'' as quiet and sullen, while Olivares was more of an outgoing partygoer, according to the book. The personality contrast made fans very interested in their matches. Early career Castillo was born in Nuevo Valle de Moreno, a small town in the municipality of León, Guanajuato, Mexico. Jesús Alfredo Merchán (born December 24, 1952)), known professionally as Chucho Merchán, is a Colombian session jazz and rock bassist and guitarist. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cambridge University in 1980. He has performed with Nucleus, Eurythmics, The Pretenders, Thomas Dolby, George Harrison, Pete Townshend, David Gilmour, Robi Rosa, Bryan Adams, Kirsty MacColl, Jaguares, and Everything but the Girl. His first musical experiences were in South America with his band Malanga and with university bands in California. In 1974 he traveled to England to study music at Cambridge University. He studied composition, orchestration, direction and orchestral conduction, guitar, piano, percussion, and double bass. In 1980 he received his Bachelor of Arts. Jesús Manuel Ramos García (April 12, 1918 – September 2, 1977) was a Venezuelan outfielder/first baseman in Major League Baseball who played briefly during the season. Listed at 5' 10.5", 167 lb., Ramos batted right-handed and threw left-handed. Born in Maturín, Venezuela, he played under the name Chucho Ramos, spending much of his career with the Navegantes del Magallanes. Ramos was also a member of the Venezuela national baseball team that won the 1941 Amateur World Series. Career Ramos played with the Vargas, Venezuela, and Magallanes clubs of the Venezuelan amateur league, debuting in 1937. Jesús "Chucho" Sanoja (September 23, 1926 – December 11, 1998) was a Venezuelan musician, pianist, composer, music director and arranger. Sanoja was survived by his grandson, Jesús Alfonso Sanoja Soulés, an audiovisual producer. A memorable performances of the Chucho Sanoja and his orchestra was in 1953 at the inauguration of the Hotel Tamanaco in Caracas and at the 10th Conference of Foreign Ministers, held in the Venezuelan capital itself in 1954 where they shared the stage with the famous Lecuona Cuban Boys.
