Christian Reformed Church In Nicaragua
The Christian Reformed Church in Nicaragua or the Iglesia Cristiana Reformada de Nicaragua was founded by the missionaries of the Christian Reformed Church in North America after the 1972 earthquake in Nicaragua. Two Mexican evangelists from Mexico City came to assist the mission. In 2004 there was 8 congregations are in Manauga, Tipitapa, Muy Muy, Chinandega, Nagarote and El Tamarinho with hundreds of members. Tipitapa
Tipitapa is a city and municipality in the Managua department of western Nicaragua. The area is located between Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua. History Tipitapa began as a settlement of local tribes. The first settlers were the Chorotegas, who populated central Nicaragua and especially the location between two lakes. Over time, the Chorotegas were divided into two rival gangs, the Dirianes and Nagrandanos. The kingdom of Dirianes was the jurisdiction to which it belonged. Chinandega () is a city and the departmental seat of Chinandega department in Nicaragua. It is also the administrative centre of the surrounding municipality of the same name. Nagarote () is a town and a municipality in the León Department of Nicaragua. The town of Nagarote has a population of 25,578 while the rural areas surrounding it has a population of 13,448. Nagarote is located from Managua. History Nagarote formerly had a flourishing sea port called Puerto Sandino. This port was attacked in 1983, with much destruction to the facilities which effectively destroyed the port.
