Chris Ramsey (footballer)
Christopher Leroy Ramsey (born 28 April 1962) is a former professional footballer who is currently technical director at Queens Park Rangers. He played as a defender, most often as a right back, for Bristol City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Swindon Town, Southend United, Naxxar Lions and Cocoa Expos. Ramsey coached for Tottenham Hotspur working with their academy and was appointed as first team coach where he assisted Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand. He was placed in temporary charge of Queens Park Rangers, in February 2015 following the resignation of manager, Harry Redknapp. After being temporary coach of Queens Park Rangers and following their relegation to the Championship, Ramsey was named head coach on a permanent basis in May 2015. He is nicknamed "Rambo". He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to football and diversity in sport. Christopher Ramsey (born 3 August 1986) is an English actor, comedian and presenter. After appearing in ''Hebburn'' as Jack (2012–2013), Ramsey began presenting series including '' I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp'' (2016), ''Virtually Famous'' (2016–2017) and ''Stand Up Central'' (2017). In 2017, he began presenting ''The Chris Ramsey Show'', and went on to compete in the seventeenth series of ''Strictly Come Dancing''. Chris Ramsey (born 12 November 1976) is a British adventurer and sustainable living advocate, who became the first person to drive the Mongol Rally in an electric vehicle. He also holds the Guinness World Record for the longest distance traveled on an electric bike in 12 hours, covering a distance of 180.75 miles at the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford, Aberdeenshire. Career In 2011, Ramsey founded Plug In Adventures to support his goal of promoting electric vehicle adoption by demonstrating their capabilities in the harshest climates on Earth. His adventuring began in 2015 when he and his wife took just two days to finish the 1,652-mile journey from John O'Groats to Land's End and back again in a 24kWh Nissan Leaf, using only publicly available and free EV charging points.
