Chris Nielsen (born February 16, 1980) is a Tanzanian-born Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey Centre (ice hockey), centre. Nielsen was drafted in the 2nd round, 36th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He played parts of two seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Nielsen was born in Tanzania while his Canadian father was stationed there working for the Canadian International Development Agency. His family moved back to Canada when he was three, and he grew up on a farm near the small town of Goodlands, Manitoba. Playing career Nielsen played junior hockey with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League. He was a member of the 1998–99 WHL season, 1998–99 team that won the Ed Chynoweth Cup, President's Cup, and got within a game of winning the 1999 Memorial Cup, Memorial Cup. Christian Nielsen (born 1967) is a Canadian politician who was the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for the riding of Edmonton-Decore. He was elected in the 2015 Alberta election with 68% of the popular vote. Within the Legislature, Nielsen was on a number of standing committees, such as the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship. He was previously the deputy chair of the Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund, a committee devoted to oversight of Alberta's "rainy day" fund, built from past natural resource revenue. Christopher Feldborg Nielsen (born 15 September 1992) is a Swedish professional golfer. He has five wins on the Nordic Golf League (NGL) and won the 2021 Nordic Golf League#Order of Merit winners, NGL Order of Merit to earn promotion to the Challenge Tour after he shot an albatross (golf), albatross on the final hole of the Road to Europe Tour Final. Christopher William Bunny Nilsson (born 16 February 1947) is a New Zealand rower. Nilsson was born in 1947 in Hastings, New Zealand. He represented New Zealand at the 1972 Summer Olympics.
