Chris Mason (ice Hockey)
Christopher Robert Mason (born April 20, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender and current color commentator for the Nashville Predators on Bally Sports South. After being drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 1995 NHL entry draft, Mason spent 10 years playing for the Nashville Predators, Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets, and St. Louis Blues. He left the NHL in 2013 and retired with the Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Nashville Predators
The Nashville Predators (colloquially referred to as the Preds) are a professional ice hockey team based in Nashville, Tennessee. 2004–05 NHL Lockout
The 2004–05 NHL lockout was a labor lockout that resulted in the cancellation of the National Hockey League (NHL) season, which would have been its 88th season of play. The main dispute was the league's desire to implement a salary cap to limit expenditure on player salaries, which was opposed by the NHL Players Association (NHLPA), the players' labor union, who proposed an alternative system of revenue sharing. Attempts at collective bargaining before the season began were unsuccessful. The lockout was initiated on September 16, 2004, one day after the expiration of the existing collective bargaining agreement (CBA), which itself had been the result of the 1994–95 lockout. Tomáš Vokoun
Tomáš Vokoun (; born 2 July 1976) is a Czech former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1997 to 2013, mainly with the Nashville Predators. He was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the ninth round, 226th overall, in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft, and played one game for the team, as well as playing with the Florida Panthers, Washington Capitals, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Internationally, Vokoun played for the Czech national team at several tournaments, including the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2006, as well as gold medals at the 2005 and 2010 World Championships. 2003 NHL Waiver Draft
The NHL waiver draft was an annual draft held by the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1977 to 2003. A reworked version of the NHL intra-league draft, the waiver draft was created to help address the league's competitive balances issues and the financial issues some of the expansion teams added in the preceding ten years were undergoing. It was not held during the 1979–80 and 1991–92 seasons due to the 1979 merger with the World Hockey Association and the 1991 NHL dispersal and expansion drafts, respectively. It was discontinued as a result of the collective bargaining agreement that was reached to end the 2004–05 NHL lockout. San Antonio Rampage
The San Antonio Rampage were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League based in San Antonio, Texas. The Rampage was primarily owned by Spurs Sports & Entertainment throughout the team's existence. Dominic Roussel (born February 22, 1970) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played eight seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Philadelphia Flyers, Winnipeg Jets, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and Edmonton Oilers between 1991 and 2001. He also played in the minor American Hockey League. Marc Moro
Marc Moro (born July 17, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played 30 games in the National Hockey League with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Nashville Predators, and Toronto Maple Leafs from 1997 to 2002. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1997 to 2007, was mainly spent in the minor leagues. He was the first captain for the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
