Chris Jones (born 1972) is a former American football wide receiver who played one season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Mississippi State University. College career Jones played for the Mississippi State Bulldogs from 1993 to 1995, recording 1,199 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 62 receptions. Professional career Jones played in, and started, one game for the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1996. The Mississippi State Bulldogs football program represents Mississippi State University in the sport of American football. The Bulldogs compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Tiger-Cats play their home games at Tim Hortons Field. In 1950, the Tigers merged with cross-town upstart Hamilton Wildcats and adopted the name "Tiger-Cats".
