Chris Greene (broadcaster)
Christopher Greene (born 13 February 1988) is an Irish broadcaster and comedian. He stars with Peter Ganley in the series ''Craic Addicts'', produced for Channel 4's on-demand service 4oD. Previously, he hosted the radio show '' Chris and Ciara'' on RTÉ 2fm with Ciara King from when the pair left iRadio in 2014, till the show ended in March 2022. The end of his show with RTE was subject to a dispute at the Workplace Relations Commission. Broadcasting career Radio Greene began his broadcasting career on college radio station Flirt FM in 2005 at 17 years of age and moved to commercial radio station iRadio in 2007. Chris was the youngest person to be selected from a nationwide talent search of over 400 applicants for on air personalities. Presenting both night and daytime slots on regional station iRadio with Ciara King, the pair developed a loyal and considerable following. Christopher Greene
Christopher Greene (May 12, 1737May 14, 1781) was an American legislator and soldier. He lead the spirited defense of Fort Mercer in the 1777 Battle of Red Bank, and for leading the African American 1st Rhode Island Regiment during the American Revolutionary War, most notably with distinction in the 1778 Battle of Rhode Island. He was killed in May 1781 at the Battle of Pine's Bridge by Loyalists, possibly because he was known to lead African American troops. Early life and education Greene was born May 12, 1737, at Occupessatuxet, a village in Warwick, Rhode Island, to Judge Phillip Greene and Elizabeth (Wickes) Greene. On May 6, 1757, Greene married his third cousin Anna Lippitt, born November 15, 1735, the daughter of Jeremiah Lippitt and Welthian Greene, both descended from a distinguished Rhode Island colonial family. Captain Christopher Becker Greene (1901 - October 20, 1944) was the head of the Greene Line of steamboats after the death of his father. Biography He was born in 1901 in Ohio to Mary Catherine Becker and Gordon Christopher Greene, and his brother was Thomas Rea Greene.
