Chris Ellis (born 27 November 1949) is an American actor. Early life Ellis grew up in Frayser, Tennessee, a suburb of Memphis, in a middle class/working class area. He always wanted to be an actor because of what he saw on television. It took him seven years to finish college however, because "I have always been shiftless". During those years Chris became involved in community theatre in Memphis, Tennessee, where "I did and do still think the quality of the work has always been quite good". By the time he moved to New York, he had worked with many excellent actors in about two dozen plays, classical and contemporary. "I cannot imagine what might have supplanted that background for a newcomer in New York." Chris Ellis (born February 11, 1985) is an American college football coach and former defensive lineman. He is the defensive ends coach for the University of Richmond, a position he has held since 2022. He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft. He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies, where he was a first-team All- ACC selection. He was also a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Saskatchewan Roughriders. Early life Ellis was ranked 66th on SuperPrep's Elite 100 list following his senior season when he led Bethel with 50 tackles - seven for loss - and 10 sacks. Christopher Allan Bansil Ellis (born December 5, 1988) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Christopher John Ellis (born September 22, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Sultanes de Monterrey of the Mexican League. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays, and Baltimore Orioles. Career Amateur Ellis was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 50th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft out of Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama. Chris Ellis (also known as Christopher Ellis) is a British songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist, who has been recording and touring in the UK since 1984. Chris Ellis' current work includes live piano improvisations, drawn from the traditions of Western classical, jazz, blues, folk and more. In addition to his solo work, Ellis has played piano and guitar with several bands, including the Anglesey based band Ghostriders of which he was a member between 1982 and 1991. He has performed regularly with Gong Bassist Dave Sturt and with Canadian singer-songwriter Celeste Lovick since 2001. Between 2012 and 2022 Chris Ellis has toured with the TCPA's Land of Promise show, performing songs with violinist Rosie Toll.
