Chris Cohen (musician)
Chris Cohen is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist best known for his solo albums as well as for having been a member of the band Deerhoof between 2002 and 2006. Early life and education Born in Los Angeles, California in 1975, he is the son of former music business executive Kip Cohen and former Broadway actress Lynn Cohen (known professionally as Lynn Carlisle). In 1991, Cohen appeared in the Sonic Youth video "Cinderella's Big Score" by Dave Markey. His sister is public radio reporter and host Alex Cohen. His first instrument was drums, which he began playing at the age of 3, later learning to make music by overdubbing himself on a cassette four-track. Eleanor Friedberger
Eleanor Friedberger (born September 2, 1976) is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She is best known as one half of the indie rock duo The Fiery Furnaces, alongside her older brother Matthew Friedberger. In the band she contributes the majority of the vocals both on record and during their live performances. In 2011, The Fiery Furnaces went on hiatus, with both Friedberger siblings embarking upon solo careers. Natalie Laura Mering (born June 11, 1988), known professionally as Weyes Blood (pronounced , like "wise blood"), is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She was primarily raised in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She has been performing her own material under variations of the name Weyes Blood since 2003. Danielson is an American rock band from Clarksboro, New Jersey, that plays indie pop gospel music. White Magic is a psychedelic folk rock group formed in Brooklyn and led by singer/guitarist/pianist/composer Mira Billotte. Billotte performs under this moniker both with accompaniment or solo, using a daf, shruti box, and singing a cappella.
