Chris Campbell (artist)
Chris Campbell (born 1952) is an American realist painter. Life and work Campbell grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from Louisiana State University, she earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed a radiology residency at New York University School of Medicine as well as a fellowship in nuclear medicine at Harvard Medical School. Her career changed direction when she studied at the Art Students League of New York. In 1998 she moved to Hawaii and began painting Native Hawaiian women. She emphasizes the bodily form and solidity of her substantial subjects as in ''Strike a Pose III.'' Collections Campbell's work is held in the collections of the Hawaii State Art Museum and the Honolulu Museum of Art. Christopher Lundy Campbell (born September 9, 1954) is an American wrestler. He was a bronze medalist in Freestyle wrestling at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. He won a gold medal at the 1981 World Wrestling Championships, and a Silver medal at the 1990 World Wrestling Championships. He is the oldest United States wrestler to medal at the Olympic Games. When he won his Olympic medal he was a month away from his 38th birthday. While wrestling for the University of Iowa, Campbell was a three-time All-American and a two-time NCAA champion, winning titles in 1976 & ’77. His career record of 122-6-3 ranks sixth on Iowa’s all-time career winning percentage list. Campbell is a vegetarian. Christopher John Campbell is a British diplomat who served as the United Kingdom's ambassador to Ecuador from 2020 until 2023. He also served as the ambassador to Nicaragua between 2011 and 2015 and the ambassador to the Dominican Republic between 2015 and 2020. Consular career Campbell joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1982 and started in the North America Department.
