Chiroptera (performance Art)
''Chiroptera'' was a collaborative performance art installation created by JR, Damien Jalet, and Thomas Bangalter. It was presented in front of the Place de l'Opera to the public on the evening of 12 November 2023. Background and performance ''Chiroptera'' is the second act of an operatic art series French artist JR has worked on entitled ''Retour à la caverne''. The first act, occurring in September 2023, involved the construction and showing of an art display in front of the Place de l'Opera in Paris, France that made the building appear to be a large cave. A similar cavernous structure was used for the second act. JR considered the project to be an inverse to a traditional opera, with the performance happening in the street exposed to the noise of the city rather than occurring inside. JR (; born 22 February 1983) is the pseudonym of a French photographer and street artist. JR stands for the initials of JR's first name, which is Jean-René. Mythologies (ballet)
''Mythologies'' is a 2022 ballet created by the French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj and composer Thomas Bangalter. The ballet focuses on scenes stemming from human mythologies and features original orchestral compositions from Bangalter. Conception The ballet started as a collaboration between the Ballet Preljocaj and Ballet de l'Opéra de Bordeaux. Another ballet, ''Ghost'', was created by the two companies in 2018. ''Mythologies'' uses ten participating dancers from each ballet. In late 2019, Preljocaj approached Bangalter about composing a ballet suite with a full orchestra. Alice Rohrwacher (, ; born 29 December 1980) is an Italian film director, editor and screenwriter. Her film ''Le pupille'' was nominated for Oscar in 2023 in short film categories.
