Chinese Taipei Fed Cup Team
The Chinese Taipei Billie Jean King Cup team represents Taiwan in Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Chinese Taipei Tennis Association. They will compete in the Asia/Oceania Group II in 2025. History Chinese Taipei competed in its first Fed Cup in 1972. 1972 Federation Cup
The 1972 Federation Cup was the tenth edition of the most important competition between national teams in women's tennis. 31 nations participated in the tournament, which was held at Ellis Park in Johannesburg, South Africa from 20–25 March. South Africa defeated Great Britain in the final, in what was the first final not featuring United States or Australia, giving South Africa their first title. Joanna Garland
Joanna Garland ( Chinese: 葛藍喬安娜; born 16 July 2001) is a professional tennis player who represents Chinese Taipei. She has a career-high WTA singles ranking of world No. 175 achieved on 26 May 2025. Garland has won 16 singles and three doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Early life Garland is half-British and half-Taiwanese. Born in Stevenage, she moved with her family to Taiwan when she was ten years old. In 2016 she won the Taiwan national U18 tennis championship. By this time, Garland's parents had returned to Stevenage to look after Garland's grandparents, and took Joanna's brothers with them.
