Chinbrook
Chinbrook is an area of south east London, England, located southeast of Charing Cross in the London Borough of Lewisham. Chinbrook lies between Grove Park and Mottingham, approximately half a mile east of Grove Park centre and is generally considered part of Grove Park. Most of Chinbrook including the main crossroads falls within the London Borough of Lewisham and under the postcode district , although immediately northeast from the crossroads is the border with the London Borough of Bromley and the postcode district. River Quaggy
The River Quaggy (often the Quaggy River or simply Quaggy) is a river, in length, passing through the south-east London boroughs of Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham. In its lower reaches it is an urban river, in its upper reaches further from London it is more natural and known as the Kyd Brook. The river rises from two sources near Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) at Locksbottom and is a tributary of the River Ravensbourne which it flows into near Lewisham station in Lewisham. A long stretch of Kyd Brook is visible in Hawkwood, an area of open farmland and countryside upstream of Chislehurst that is owned and managed by the National Trust, but open to the public free of charge. Grove Park, Lewisham
Grove Park is a district of South East London, England within the London Borough of Lewisham. It is located north east of Bromley and south east of Lewisham. Known for its green spaces, Grove Park is flanked by the Grove Park Nature Reserve and Northbrook Park, and Downham Fields to the west, Horn Park to the East, as well as Chinbrook Meadows, Kings Meadow and Sundridge Park to the south. As well as these there are various sports grounds and fields. Name and toponymy There was a farm named ''Grove Farm'', where ''Sometrees Avenue'' is now located, around north of Grove Park railway station. ''Grove Farm'' appeared named on maps from at least 1870, and it is thought this farm gave its name to ''Grove Park railway station'', ''Grove Park Road'', the road built to join Grove Park to Mottingham, and also gave its name to Grove Park itself. Green Chain Walk
The South East London Green Chain, also known as the Green Chain Walk, is a linked system of open spaces between the River Thames and Crystal Palace Park in London, England. In 1977 four London boroughs and the Greater London Council created this Green Chain of 300 open spaces to protect them from building activity. The four London boroughs are Bexley, Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich. More recently it has been extended to include sections in Southwark. Many parts of the system are also part of the Capital Ring route. The system begins at three places on the River Thames: Thames Barrier, Thamesmead, and the riverside at Erith. There are various circular walks along the route, and there is an offshoot from the main route to Chislehurst; and the next section reaches Crystal Palace via Bromley. Grove Park Railway Station
Grove Park is a railway station in southeast London, England. It is located on Baring Road (the A2212) within Travelcard Zone 4, and serves the areas of Grove Park and Downham in the London Borough of Lewisham. It is down the line from . It serves as an interchange between local South Eastern Main Line services & the Bromley North Line shuttle. Prior to 1952, there was also a connection to trams. The station was opened in 1871. Platforms Currently there are five platforms.
