China Association Of Agricultural Science Societies
Established in 1917, the China Association of Agricultural Science Societies (CAASS, zh, 中国农学会), or Chinese Society of Agriculture is the oldest agricultural science and technology organization in China, serving as both a witness to and a proponent of the advancement of modern agricultural science and technology in the country. Ministry Of Agriculture (China)
The Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) was a cabinet-level executive department of the State Council which was responsible for agriculture in China. Areas of the ministry's responsibility included agriculture and environmental issues relating to agriculture, fishery, consumer affairs, animal husbandry, horticulture, animal welfare, foodstuffs, hunting and game management as well as higher education and research in the field of agricultural sciences. The ministry was headquartered in Beijing. Chen Hansheng
Chen Hansheng (February 5, 1897 – March 13, 2004), also known as Chen Han-seng and Geoffrey Chen, was a Chinese historian, sociologist and social activist considered a pioneer of modern Chinese social science. He was an underground spy for the Communist International, and active as a member of Richard Sorge's Tokyo ring that gathered intelligence for the Soviet Union on Japanese war plans. His prolific scholarship used innovative Marxist analysis that influenced both Chinese and international understandings of China's village economy and industrial structure. Jin Shanbao (; 2 July 1895 – 26 June 1997) was a Chinese agricultural educator and agronomist. Biography Jin Shanbao was born on July 2, 1895, in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province. Jin entered the Fifth High School of Zhejiang Province in Shaoxing, where he then studied for four years. In 1917, despite a good grade, his family's poverty caused him to be unable to enroll in many universities, however, he saw an enrollment prospectus for the Agricultural Specialization Section of the Nanjing Normal College granting free tuition, and he decided to enroll in this school. Wang Yang (; born 5 March 1955) is a Chinese retired politician who served as the chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from 2018 to 2023.
