Chimera (British TV Series)
''Chimera'' is a British science-fiction horror drama made by Zenith Productions and Anglia Films for ITV in 1991. It is based on the 1982 novel of the same name about genetic engineering by Stephen Gallagher. Gallagher had previously adapted the novel as a 90 minute dramatised audio drama for BBC Radio 4 in 1985. The theme music of the TV mini-series was " Roisin Dubh" by Nigel Hess and Chameleon. Although set in rural Cumbria, filming took place in North Yorkshire with the village of Kettlewell providing the outdoor scenes. The setting for ''The Jenner Clinic'' was the nearby Malham Tarn Field Studies Centre, a Grade II listed Georgian country house owned by the National Trust. Lawrence Gordon Clark
Lawrence Gordon Clark is an English television director and producer, screenwriter, and author, best known for creating the supernatural anthology series ''A Ghost Story for Christmas'', which originally aired on BBC One from 1971–1978, with Clark directing all but the final instalment as well as writing and producing the first two, '' The Stalls of Barchester'' (1971) and '' A Warning to the Curious'' (1972). The first five of these were based on the ghost stories of M. R. James, as was '' Casting the Runes'' (1979) which he directed for the ITV drama anthology series '' Playhouse''. Kettlewell
Kettlewell is a village in Upper Wharfedale, North Yorkshire, England. It lies north of Grassington, at the point where Wharfedale is joined by a minor road (Cam Gill Road) which leads north-east from the village over Park Rash Pass to Coverdale. Great Whernside rises to the east. The population of the civil parish ( Kettlewell with Starbotton) was 322 at the 2011 census, with an estimated population of 340 in 2015. The population was recorded as being at 321 according to the United Kingdom 2021 census. Until 1974 it was part of the West Riding of Yorkshire. Liza Tarbuck ( ; born 21 November 1964) is an English actress, comedian, and television and radio presenter. Early life Liza Tarbuck was born in Liverpool and grew up near Kingston upon Thames. Sebastian Lewis Shaw (29 May 1905 – 23 December 1994) was an English actor, theatre director, novelist, playwright and poet. During his seven decade career, he appeared in dozens of stage performances and more than 40 film and television productions. Shaw was born and brought up in Holt, Norfolk, and made his acting debut at age eight at a London theatre. He studied acting at Gresham's School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Peter Armitage (actor)
Peter James Armitage (23 October 1939 – 30 November 2018) was an English television and stage actor best known for his role as Bill Webster on long-running soap opera ''Coronation Street''. He was a regular on British screens from the 1970s onwards. Early life Armitage was born out of wedlock in Skipton, West Riding of Yorkshire, where he was brought up primarily by his aunt until the age of 10, when his mother married. He did not meet his father, who was German, until he was 28, and the two did not form a long-term relationship. Armitage attended Glusburn secondary modern school, then was apprenticed to a firm building diesel engines for five years. He subsequently spent four years serving in the Merchant Navy before settling in London, where he worked as a banksman on the construction of the Victoria line.
