Chilliwack (electoral District)
Chilliwack North is a provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of British Columbia. It was defined by the 2021 British Columbia electoral redistribution for use in the 2024 British Columbia general election onwards, with boundaries largely corresponding to a predecessor district called Chilliwack in use until 2024. A series of electoral districts called "Chilliwack" have existed in BC since 1916 incorporating different boundaries. This was the successor to the Chilliwhack electoral district the name of which was based on the older spelling of the name. Political geography and history Chilliwack was the successor riding to Westminster-Chilliwhack, which was one of four subdivisions of the old rural Westminster riding, the others being the ridings that became, after similar name-changes, Delta, Dewdney and Richmond, which are the parent ridings of all current Fraser Valley electoral districts. Heather Maahs
Heather Maahs is a Canadian politician who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 2024 British Columbia general election. She represents the electoral district of Chilliwack North as a member of the Conservative Party of British Columbia. Chilliwack-Kent
Chilliwack-Kent was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Canada that existed from 2001 to 2009 and again from 2017 to 2024. Between 2009 and 2017, it was replaced by the Chilliwack-Hope riding. In the 2015 redistribution, the eastern portion of Chilliwack-Hope was adjusted and the name Chilliwack-Kent was brought back into service and was contested in the 2017 general election. The New Democratic Party of British Columbia (BC NDP) is a social democratic political party in British Columbia, Canada. Dan Coulter
Daniel Alexander Coulter (February 23, 1975 – December 12, 2024) was a Canadian politician who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 2020 British Columbia general election. The 41st Parliament of British Columbia was in session from June 22, 2017, to September 21, 2020.
