''Children of Fire'' is the third album made by the American metalcore band, Oh, Sleeper. It was released on September 6, 2011, in the United States through Solid State Records. Produced by Andreas Magnusson, the first and only single was "Endseekers" released on September 6, 2011, available on iTunes and the official music video is available on YouTube. The album cover features the band logo, the broken pentagram with a child inside of it. It is the band's last album for almost eight years, with their next album, ''Bloodied/Unbowed'', being released in 2019. Concept The concept of the album mainly focuses on the aftermath of the battle between God and Satan. It begins by continuing from the end of "The Finisher," which is the last track on their previous album '' Son of the Morning''. Oh, Sleeper
Oh, Sleeper is an American metalcore band from Fort Worth, Texas that formed in 2006 with former members of Terminal (American band), Terminal. In over a decade's span, Oh, Sleeper has released four full-length albums, two EPs, and toured worldwide as an opening act. After independently releasing ''The Titan EP'' and traveling in the full Van's Warped Tour 2013, the band went on hiatus to allow clean vocalist and lead guitarist Shane Blay to join As I Lay Dying (band), As I Lay Dying members in starting California-based metal band Wovenwar. The band's fourth full-length album, ''Bloodied / Unbowed'', was released on July 12, 2019. 1979 Nahariya Attack
The 1979 Nahariya attack (codenamed by its perpetrators as the Nasser Operation) was a raid by four Palestine Liberation Front (PLF) militants in Nahariya, Israel on 22 April 1979. The group, consisting of Abdel Majeed Asslan, Mhanna Salim al-Muayed, and Ahmed al-Abras, and led by 16-year-old Samir Kuntar, used a small, boat to travel from Tyre, Lebanon to Israel. During the attack they killed three Israelis, including a father and two of his young children. Another child was accidentally suffocated in efforts to hide her from the attackers. Kuntar and al-Abras were captured, convicted of murder by an Israeli court, and sentenced to several life sentences. Kuntar denied killing the civilians, saying they were killed by Israeli forces' fire. Solid is a state of matter where molecules are closely packed and can not slide past each other. Solids resist compression, expansion, or external forces that would alter its shape, with the degree to which they are resisted dependent upon the specific material under consideration. Solids also always possess the least amount of kinetic energy per atom/molecule relative to other phases or, equivalently stated, solids are formed when matter in the liquid / gas phase is cooled below a certain temperature. Ryan Clark (musician)
Ryan Curtis Clark (born June 23, 1979) is an American musician who also has performed under the stage name Maven. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the Christian metal band Demon Hunter, which he co-founded with his brother, guitarist Don Clark. He was also the frontman for Christian metalcore band Training for Utopia along with being one of the guitarists for Focal Point. He is featured on Zao's ''The Lesser Lights of Heaven'' DVD and Mark Salomon's Podcast, Never Was. History Before Demon Hunter, Clark was a former guitarist of the short-lived Sacramento/Elk Grove, California-based hardcore punk band Focal Point. Focal Point started in 1995 with the lineup of Clark, Robbie Imrisek (Vocals), Danny Dinh (Guitar), Kyle Brown (Bass), and Robert Torres (Drums). Shane Blay
Shane Brandon Blay is an American guitarist and vocalist that performs primarily metalcore. He has performed with bands such as Oh, Sleeper, Between the Buried and Me, and Wovenwar. Background Blay started his musical career in the late 1990s/early 2000s, with the band Evelynn. The band released a split EP before hiring on Nick Hipa. Blay knew Hipa since the age of 15. The band was signed to Pluto Records. The band disbanded in 2004 and the members went on their separate ways. Blay alongside Micah Kinard, James Erwin, Lucas Starr, and Ryan Conley formed the band Oh, Sleeper. The band has reached a decent amount of success, but Blay has stated that, contrary to popular belief, the band doesn't make much money.
