Chief Of Army (Sweden)
The Chief of Army (, AC) is the most senior appointment in the Swedish Army. The position Chief of Army was introduced in 1937 and the current form in 2014. History In 1937, the staff agency "Chief of the Army" (, CA) was created to lead the army in peace time. The CA would under the King in Council exercise the highest military leadership of the Land Defense (). At his side, the CA had an Army Staff to assist the CA in his duties. Before 1937 the Chief of the General Staff was considered to be the Chief of Army, but he was not usually to the rank of chief, but formally only the king's chief of staff in his capacity as Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces. The oldest general was chairman of the special preparatory body called the Generals Commission (''Generalskommissionen''). Major General (MajGen) (, genmj) is a Two-star rank, two-star commissioned Officer (armed forces), officer rank in the Swedish Army, Swedish Air Force and Swedish Amphibious Corps. Major general ranks immediately above Brigadgeneral, brigadier general and below a Generallöjtnant, lieutenant general. The rank is equivalent to Rear admiral (Sweden), rear admiral in the Swedish Navy. The Swedish Navy () is the maritime service branch of the Swedish Armed Forces. Carl August Ehrensvärd (1892–1974)
General, Count Carl August Ehrensvärd (3August 1892 – 24April 1974) was a Swedish Army officer. Ehrensvärd came from a distinguished family with a military background. His father was Admiral, Count Carl August Ehrensvärd, and his great-grandfather was the renowned fortress builder Augustin Ehrensvärd. Ehrensvärd's career in the military began in 1911 when he became an officer volunteer in the Svea Life Guards. Archibald Douglas (1883–1960)

Lieutenant General Oscar Fredrik Osterman (5 September 1874 – 3 November 1956) was a senior Swedish Army officer.
