The chief secretary Sindh (Urdu: ), also referred to as CS Sindh, is the bureaucratic chief and highest-ranking official of the Government of Sindh. The position holder is usually a Grade-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service. The position of chief secretary is equivalent to the rank of Federal Secretary. The current chief secretary of Sindh is Syed Asif Hyder Shah, in office since March 2024. The prime minister directly appoints the chief secretary. Sajjad Saleem Hotiana
Sajjad Saleem Hotiana () (born 14 March 1955) is a retired Pakistani civil servant who served in BPS-22 grade as Chief Secretary Sindh. Hotiana also served as Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan and Senior Member Federal Land Commission. After retirement from active civil service, he tenured as Member of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Chief Secretary Punjab
The chief secretary of Punjab (Urdu: ), also referred to as CS Punjab, is the bureaucratic chief and highest-ranking official of the Government of Punjab, Pakistan. The appointment of the chief secretary is made directly by the prime minister of Pakistan. The position of chief secretary is equivalent to the rank of federal secretary and the position holder usually belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Service. The chief secretary is the province's administrative boss as all the divisional commissioners and administrative secretaries of the province report to him/her. The CS in return reports to the chief minister of Punjab, however the chief secretary is not under the charge of the chief minister as only the prime minister can appoint or remove the CS from his position. The Establishment Secretary of Pakistan is the Federal Secretary for the Establishment Division and is in charge of the transfers, postings as well as promotions in the country's civil service.
