Chidambara Rahasiyam () is a Hindu belief that there is a secret message conveyed through the embossed figure near the shrine of Shiva in the Chidambaram Temple. Since ancient times, it is believed that this is the place where Shiva and his consort Parvati are present, but invisible to most people. In the temple, Chidambara Ragasya is hidden behind a curtain (symbolic of Maya). Worship, or darshan is possible only when priests open the curtain for special pujas. ''Chidambara Rahasiyam'' () is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language comedy thriller film written and directed by Visu. It stars Visu, S. Ve. Shekher, Delhi Ganesh, Arun Pandian, Ilavarasi and Manorama. The film revolves around a simpleton (S. Ve. Shekher) who is framed for murder. Here enters Visu who teams up with the local police and Arun Pandian to find the real culprits. The subject matter of the film is not related directly to Chidambara Rahasiyam, a Hindu religious belief. The film was released on 14 December 1985. ''Chidambara Ragasiyam'' () is an Indian Tamil-language suspense series directed by Naga and produced by Anil Mishr and P.K. Tiwari. This show replaced Rudhraveenai on Wednesdays at 8:30 pm. It aired in Sun TV during the years 2004–2006. This was a successful series. It revolved around the practice of "Nadi astrology", a very popular belief in Tamil Nadu and widely practiced around Vaitheeswaran Koil area near Chidambaram.The last episode was aired on Sunday, 23 July 2006 at 7.30pm. This serial was also dubbed in Telugu and was telecasted in ETV. Plot The story revolves around a young journalist Somu, working for Neithal Magazine in Chennai.
