Cheran Pandian
''Cheran Pandian'' is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar, from a story by Erode Soundar. The film stars Vijayakumar, Sarathkumar, Anand Babu and Sreeja. It was released on 31 May 1991, emerged a box office success and won several Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. The film was remade in Telugu as '' Balarama Krishnulu'' (1992), and in Hindi in as '' Sautela'' (1999). Plot Manicheran Gounder or Periya Gounder is the rich head of the Muthupalayam village in Coimbatore District. Erode Soundar
Erode Soundar (c. 1957 – 5 December 2020) was an Indian film writer and director, who primarily worked on Tamil language films. Career In the 1990s, Erode Soundar regularly collaborated with director K. S. Ravikumar on village action films including ''Cheran Pandiyan'' (1991), '' Putham Pudhu Payanam'' (1991) and ''Nattamai'' (1994). The success of ''Cheran Pandiyan'' and ''Nattamai'' prompted the films to be remade in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali. He also won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Story Writer award for both films, while also securing the Best Dialogue Writer award for ''Cheran Pandiyan''. Manjula Vijayakumar (4 July 195423 July 2013) was an Indian actress. She acted in more than 100 films in South Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Personal life She and actor Vijayakumar got married in 1976. The couple have three daughters, Vanitha, Preetha and Sridevi. Raaga
A raga ( ; , ; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. It is central to classical Indian music. Each raga consists of an array of melodic structures with musical motifs; and, from the perspective of the Indian tradition, the resulting music has the ability to "colour the mind" as it engages the emotions of the audience. Each raga provides the musician with a musical framework within which to improvise. Amar Choudary (born 4 January 1984), known professionally as Jiiva, is an Indian actor and film producer who works mainly in Tamil cinema and a few Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films. Cheran (born 12 December 1970) is an Indian film director, producer, actor and lyricist known for his works in Tamil cinema.
