Chennai District
Chennai District, formerly known as Madras district, is one of the 38 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the smallest and the most densely populated district in the state. The district is almost coterminous with the city of Chennai, which is administered by the Greater Chennai Corporation, except for Madipakkam-B / Madipakkam-II revenue village which is administered by Kovilambakkam rural village panchayat as Kovilabakkam panchayat wards 3,4 and 5 but is under Zone-14 (Puzhuthivakkam) of Greater Chennai Corporation for Disaster and Revenue Management purpose. It is surrounded by Tiruvallur district in the north and the west, Kanchipuram district in the south-west, Chenglpattu district in the south, and the Bay of Bengal in the east. Detroit Of Asia
Chennai is nicknamed the "Detroit of Asia" due to the presence of major automobile manufacturing units and allied industries around the city. A number of big motor companies, including BMW, Royal Enfield, Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai, Renault Nissan Automotive India, Renault-Nissan, Citroën India, Citroen, Caparo Group, Komatsu, Caterpillar, Ashok Leyland, and TVS Motor Company, TVS, have presence along the 60 km Automotive Corridor. Chengalpattu District is one of the 38 List of districts of Tamil Nadu, districts of Tamil Nadu, in India. The district headquarters is located at Chengalpattu. Kanchipuram District
Kanchipuram District is one of the 38 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The area comprising the present day Kancheepuram district was earlier a part of Chingleput District (Madras Presidency), Chingleput district. The original Chingleput district was split in 1997 into form the present day Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur District, Tiruvallur districts. On 18 July 2019, Chengalpattu district was carved out of Kanchipuram district, with suburbs from Chengalpet towards Chennai under the district headquarters in Chengalpet. Tiruvallur District
Thiruvallur District, also spelled as Tiruvallur District, is one of the 38 districts (an administrative district) in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The fast developing city of Tiruvallur is the district headquarters. The district has a mixture of urban and rural characteristics. The eastern part of Tiruvallur district is dominated by urban characteristics while the Northern part of the district has influence of Andhra culture due to its position. Kovilambakkam
Kovilambakkam is a southern suburb of Chennai, India. It is a village panchayat located in Tambaram taluk, Chengalpattu district and Sholinganallur taluk, Chennai district in the state of Tamil Nadu, about 26 km from Chennai city center and 12 km from Tambaram. The neighbourhood spans the areas of Sunnambu Kolathur (Madipakkam-B / Madipakkam-II revenue village), Chinna Kovilambakkam and Periya Kovilambakkam.
