Charles Appleby (born 5 July 1975) is a British thoroughbred racehorse trainer who is employed by Godolphin and trains horses at their Moulton Paddocks stable in Newmarket, Suffolk. Godolphin (racing)
Godolphin (Arabic: جودولفين) is the Maktoum family's private Thoroughbred horseracing stable and was named in honour of the Godolphin Arabian, who came from the desert to become one of the three founding stallions of the modern Thoroughbred. Blue Point (horse)
Blue Point, (foaled 16 March 2014) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He was one of the best British-trained two-year-olds of 2016 when he won the Gimcrack Stakes and was placed in the Richmond Stakes, Middle Park Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes. In the following year he developed into a high class sprint horse, taking the Pavilion Stakes and Bengough Stakes as well as running third in the Commonwealth Cup. The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged four years or older. Three-year-olds foaled in the Southern Hemisphere are also eligible. He was one of the leading two-year-olds in Europe in 2021 when he was unbeaten in four races including the Superlative Stakes, National Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes. Pinatubo (foaled 11 March 2017) is an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. He was the top-rated European two-year-old of 2019, when he was unbeaten in six races including the Woodcote Stakes, Chesham Stakes, Vintage Stakes, National Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes. Ghaiyyath (foaled 19 April 2015) is an Irish-bred British-trained champion Thoroughbred racehorse who was the 2020 European Horse of the Year after winning the Juddmonte International Stakes, Eclipse Stakes, Coronation Cup, and Dubai Millennium Stakes. He showed very promising form as a juvenile in 2017 when he won two of his three races including the Autumn Stakes. The Coronation Cup is a Group 1 flat horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged four years or older. It is run at Epsom Downs over a distance of 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 6 yards (2,420 metres), or about 1½ miles, and it is scheduled to take place each year in late May or early June. Creative Force (30 March 2018 – 17 May 2023) was an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. After winning one of his two starts as a juvenile in 2020 he was gelded. In the following year he improved to become one of the best sprinters in Europe, winning five races including the Carnarvon Stakes, Jersey Stakes and British Champions Sprint Stakes. Creative Force died after sustaining a fatal injury during the Duke of York Stakes on 17 May 2023, at the age of 5. It is run at Ascot over a distance of 6 furlongs (1,207 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in October.
