Charlie's Climbing Tree
''Charlie's Climbing Tree'' (Swedish: ''Kalles klätterträd'', translated as ''Kalle's climbing tree'' in English) is a Swedish animated television series, lasting from 1975 until 1976. Created by Olof Landström and Peter Cohen, produced by POJ-filmproduktion. The show's theme music is performed by Jojje Wadenius and narration done by Toivo Pawlo. The programme was recorded in a total of twelve sections of about eight minutes, and the first broadcast on Sveriges Television on 25 December 1975. The programme is one of the best known Swedish children's programmes of the 1970s, partly because of the theme song. It was dubbed into an English-language adaptation and aired on ITV in the United Kingdom and Nickelodeon in the United States during the early to mid-1980s as part of Pinwheel in the United States. ''Den vita stenen'' ("The White Stone") is a 1964 Swedish children's book written by Gunnel Linde. In 1965, Linde received the Nils Holgersson Plaque for this book. In 1973, a TV version of the story was produced. Plot The book takes place in a village in the Swedish countryside during the 1930s. Fia and her mother Mrs Pettersson, a piano teacher, live in the big house of the village's "häradshövding" (a countryside local judge/lawspeaker), where the bad-tempered housekeeper Malin lives. ''Trazan & Banarne'' was a Swedish children's television series which was broadcast from 1976 to 1982 on Sveriges Television. For its first season from 1976 to 1977, it was part of the '' Jullovsmorgon'' series. The title characters were played by Lasse Åberg (Trazan Apansson) and Klasse Möllberg (Banarne), and they recorded many songs together with the band Electric Banana Band. The TV series also broadcast TV series such as ''Lucky Luke''. Plot The friends Trazan Apansson and Banarne live in a tree house in the jungle with a trampoline. David Graeme Garden (born 18 February 1943) is a Scottish comedian, actor, author, artist and television presenter. He is best known as a member of The Goodies and a regular panellist on '' I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue''. Georg "Jojje" Wadenius (born 4 May 1945) is a Swedish multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer who was particularly active during the 1970s and 1980s as a studio and session guitarist and bassist, as well as for a series of albums of children's songs in Sweden. Biography Wadenius was born in Stockholm, Sweden, where he attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School.
