Charles D'Albert, 1st Duke Of Luynes
Charles d'Albert, 1st Duke of Luynes (; 5 August 1578 – 15 December 1621) was a Kingdom of France, French courtier and a favourite of Louis XIII of France, Louis XIII. In 1619, the king made him Duke of Luynes and a Peer of France, and in 1621, Constable of France. Luynes died of scarlet fever near the end of that year at the height of his influence. Early life He was the eldest son of Anne de Rodulf and Honoré d'Albert (1540–1592), ''seigneur'' de Luynes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Luynes (in today's ''département'' Bouches-du-Rhône in Provence), who was in the service of the three last Valois Dynasty, Valois kings and of Henry IV of France. His brother Honoré d'Albert (1581–1649), Honoré d'Albert, 1st Duke of Chaulnes, was governor of Picardy and Marshal of France (1619), and defended his province successfully in 1625 and 1635. Charles D'Albert D'Ailly
Charles d'Albert, 3rd Duke of Chaulnes (1625 – 4 September 1698), was a French general and diplomat. He was made lieutenant général des armées in 1655, and chevalier des ordres du roi from 1661. He became third Duke of Chaulnes in 1653 on the death of his elder brother. Early life He was the third son of Claire Charlotte d´Ailly, Countess of Chaulnes, Lady of Picquigny, Vidamesse d'Amiens, and Honoré d'Albert (1581-1649), Honoré d'Albert, 1st Duke of Chaulnes and Marshal of France who was known as the Marshal de Cadenet. His elder brother was Henri Louis d'Albert d'Ailly, 2nd Duke of Chaulnes, who married Françoise de Neufville and was the father of Madeleine Charlotte d'Albert d'Ailly, but had no male issue. Henrietta Maria, Queen of England, stood as his godmother after her proxy marriage to Charles I of England.
