This page is a list of characters in the Australian television series ''Summer Heights High''. Main characters Ja'mie King Ja'mie King (pronounced "Ja-may") is a 16-year-old, Year 11 schoolgirl. Ja'mie featured in Lilley's previous series, '' We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year'', where she attended Hillford Grammar, a private girls' school in Sydney. Ja'mie had in the past sponsored 85 Sudanese children as part of a Global Vision program, however her motives were not due to concern for the children's welfare; Ja'mie saw it as a way of gaining approval and fame, as well as a chance to legitimately go on crash diets in the form of the 40 Hour Famine fundraising event every week. Summer Heights High
''Summer Heights High'' is an Australian mockumentary television sitcom written by and starring Chris Lilley. Set in the fictional Summer Heights High School in an outer suburb of Sydney (based on Summer Hill), it is revolves around high school experiences from the viewpoints of three individuals: "Director of Performing Arts" Mr G; private-school exchange student Ja'mie King; and disobedient, vulgar Tongan-Australian student Jonah Takalua. The series lampoons Australian high-school life and many aspects of the human condition and is filmed as a documentary with non-actors playing supporting characters. As he did in a previous series, '' We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year'', Lilley plays multiple characters, including the aforementioned Mr G, Ja'mie and Jonah. Alicia Banit
Alicia Banit (born 5 September 1990) is an Australian actress and dancer best known for her role as Kat in the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) television series ''Dance Academy''. She also appeared in various Australian television series, being the main cast in ''We Were Tomorrow'' or having recurring roles in '' Playing for Keeps''. ''Punk'd'' is an American hidden camera–practical joke reality television series that first aired on MTV in 2003. It was created by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, with Kutcher serving as producer and host. ''Big Bite'' was an Australian sketch comedy television series which ran on the Seven Network from 8 May 2003 to 4 March 2004 in a prime time timeslot on Thursdays. Since the end of the series, episodes have been repeated on the Foxtel cable channel, The Comedy Channel and 7Two. Hellen "Greg" Gregson, best known as Mr G, is a fictional character portrayed by Chris Lilley in the Australian mockumentary series '' Summer Heights High''. The character also appeared in the sketch comedy series '' Big Bite''. Storylines Sometime prior to 1998, Mr G graduated from the Teachers' College of Macquarie University in Sydney, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in the performing arts (music, drama and dance), and a Diploma of Education.
