Chang'an (film)
''Chang'an'' (), also known as ''30,000 Miles from Chang'an'', is a 2023 Chinese Computer animation, 3D animated historical drama film directed by Xie Junwei and Zou Jing. It follows the story of the decades-long friendship of poets Li Bai and Gao Shi amid the Tang dynasty's transition from peak prosperity to the turmoil of the An Lushan rebellion, rebellion led by An Lushan, one of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, Emperor Xuanzong's most favored generals. The film was produced by Light Chaser Animation Studios, Alibaba Pictures, Tianjin Maoyan Weiying Culture Media, Weibo Corporation, in association with China Film Co., Ltd.. The film premiered in China on 8 July 2023. A total of 48 poems by various Tang period poets appeared in the film. Lo Ta-yu
Lo Ta-yu (; born 20 July 1954), also known as Luo Dayou and Law Tai-yau, is a Taiwanese singer and songwriter. During the 1980s, Lo became one of the most influential Mandopop singer-songwriters with his melodic lyrics and love songs, and his witty social and political commentary that he infused in his more political songs, often to the point that some of his songs were suppressed in Taiwan and Mainland China during the 1980s. He is recognized as a cultural icon in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Mainland China. Guo Ziyi (Kuo Tzu-i; Traditional Chinese: 郭子儀, Simplified Chinese: 郭子仪, Hanyu Pinyin: Guō Zǐyí, Wade-Giles: Kuo1 Tzu3-i2) (697 – July 9, 781), posthumously Prince Zhōngwǔ of Fényáng (), was a Chinese military general and politician who ended the An Lushan rebellion and participated in expeditions against the Uyghur Khaganate and Tibetan Empire. He was regarded as one of the most powerful Tang generals before and after the Anshi Rebellion. After his death he was deified in Chinese folk religion as the God of Wealth and Happiness (''Lu Star'' of Fu Lu Shou). Douban is named after a hutong in Chaoyang District, Beijing where the founder lived while he began work on the website. Douban was formerly open to both registered and unregistered users. Cen Shen or Cen Can (), 715–770, was a Chinese poet. He was regarded one of the great Chinese poets during the Tang dynasty. His poems were included in the Three Hundred Poems anthology. Li Yong (poet)
Li Yong (; 674–747), courtesy name Taihe (), also known as Li Beihai (), was a Chinese politician, writer, and calligrapher active during the Tang dynasty. Early life Li Yong was born in Guangling (; present-day Yangzhou) in 674. He was the son of scholar Li Shan (; 630–689), who had written a commentary on the ''Wen Xuan''. Career Li entered the civil service during the Wu Zhou dynasty, when he was appointed by Empress Wu Zetian as a "Zuoshiyi" (; "Reminder to the Left") who would review mistakes in court papers. Following a palace coup in 705, which resulted in the restoration of the Tang dynasty and allowed Wu's son Zhongzong to reclaim the throne, Li Yong was promoted to the minor rank of District Magistrate of Nanhe ().
