"Chance" is the third single by Act, taken from the only Act album '' Laughter, Tears and Rage''. The single was released by ZTT Records in February 1988 but was quickly withdrawn. Act (band)
Act were a short-lived synth-pop group signed to ZTT Records in the late 1980s, and comprising Scotland, Scottish musician Thomas Leer and Germany, German ex-Propaganda (band), Propaganda vocalist Claudia Brücken. Besides synthpop and disco, the group were also influenced by psychedelic rock and musical theatre. Lyrically, their songs tended to be concerned with decadence and moral bankruptcy. "Money, Money, Money" is a song recorded by Swedish pop group ABBA, written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus with Anni-Frid Lyngstad singing lead vocals. It was released on 1 November 1976, as the second single from the group's fourth studio album, '' Arrival'' (1976). The B-side, "Crazy World", was recorded in 1976 during the sessions for the ''ABBA'' album. Claudia Brücken
Claudia Brücken (born 7 December 1963) is a German singer and songwriter. She was the lead vocalist of the synth-pop band Propaganda for many years. In 1996, Brücken started working with Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark co-founder Paul Humphreys, first without a name, and from 2004 as Onetwo. In March 2013, Brücken and Humphreys ceased working and living together, and she has subsequently returned to pursuing her solo career. Early career At age 14, Brücken joined her first band, Haarsträubend. Her second band was the all-female ''The Tripolinas'' together with Susanne Freytag, who also became a member of the band Propaganda. ''Fever Pitch'' is a 1985 American drama film written and directed by Richard Brooks and starring Ryan O'Neal, Giancarlo Giannini, Chad Everett, John Saxon, and Catherine Hicks. "The Winner Takes It All" is a song recorded by Swedish music recording group ABBA. Laughter, Tears And Rage
''Laughter, Tears and Rage'' was the sole album produced by Act—the short musical collaboration between Thomas Leer and ex-Propaganda vocalist Claudia Brücken. Originally scheduled to be titled ''Name Dropping: Songs for Young Sinners'', it was released on 27 June 1988 by ZTT Records. The album was deleted by ZTT in the early 90s. It was eventually reissued on CD in 2004, as a one disc album and as a three disc box set entitled ''Laughter, Tears and Rage – The Anthology''. Like most ZTT releases, the LP and CD releases differed quite a lot in track listing. The LP and cassette were both released as 12 tracks, while the CD was 14. However, a number of tracks were exclusive to each format. "Short Story" and "Theme from Laughter" were LP only, while "Poison" and "Bloodrush" were issued only on CD and cassette, and "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" and "The 3rd Planet" were CD only.
