Chairman Of The Kuomintang
The chairman of the Kuomintang is the leader of the Kuomintang in the Republic of China. The position used to be titled as President (1912–1914), Premier (1919–1925), Chairman of the Central Executive Committee (1925–1938), Director-General (1938–1975), and Chairman (from 1975). The post is currently held by Eric Chu, who assumed the post on 5 October 2021, following the tenth direct 2021 Kuomintang chairmanship election, election of the party leadership. The chairman is now directly elected by party members for a term of four years and may be re-elected for a second term. List of party leaders denotes acting leader. Ju Zheng
Ju Zheng (; November 8, 1876 – November 23, 1951) né Ju Zhijun (居之骏), was a Chinese politician who was a leader in the Chinese Nationalist Party, or KMT, in the 1930s and 1940s. As president of the Judicial Yuan, he administered China's court system from 1932 to 1948. He ran in the presidential election of 1948 as the token opponent of Chiang Kai-shek. He was also known by his courtesy name Juesheng (Chueh-sheng, 覺生 / 觉生). Life and career Ju was born in Guangji, Huangzhou in Hubei Province (modern Wuxue city) on November 8, 1876. Chen Guofu
Chen Guofu or Chen Kuo-fu (; 27 October 1892 – 25 August 1951), was a Chinese politician in the Republic of China. His given name was Zudao (), though he was more widely known as Guofu. He was born in Wuxing, Zhejiang, China (modern Huzhou). Chen Guofu joined the Tongmenghui in 1911. He participated in both the revolution against the Qing dynasty and the "second revolution" against Yuan Shikai. He restarted his political career in 1924, being nominated as member of the Kuomintang Central Audit, as well as head of the Department of Organization and president of the Central Financial Committee. Yu Youren (; April 11, 1879 – November 10, 1964) was a Chinese educator, scholar, calligrapher, and politician. Early life He was born on April 11, 1879, in the town of Hedaogang (), Sanyuan County (north of Xi'an), Shaanxi Province, Qing China. His father was Xin Sangong and his mother surnamed Zhao. Ding Weifen
Ding Weifen (; 1874-12 May 1954) was a founding father of the Kuomintang. He served as Vice-President of Control Yuan from 28 December 1931 to 1935. Biography Ding was born in Taoluo Town of Rizhao, Shandong in 1874, the son of Ding Yici (), a teacher. His courtesy name was Dingcheng () and Dingchen (). He had an elder brother, Ding Weisong (). Xu Qian or George Hsu (; June 15, 1871 – September 26, 1940) was a Chinese politician and jurist. He made important contribution to the judicial system of modern China. Originated from She County of Anhui province and born in Nanchang of Jiangxi province, Xu Qian passed the highest level of Imperial Examination in 1903 and obtained Jinshi title. Ku Meng-yu () was a politician in the Republic of China, the founding president of the Central Daily News and a key leader of the Reorganization Group alongside Chen Gongbo. Sun Fo (; 21 October 1891 – 13 September 1973), courtesy name Zhesheng (), was a Chinese politician and high-ranking official in the government of the Republic of China. Yang Pao'an
Yang Pao'an (, 1896–1931) was a Chinese Marxist and early member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Born in Xiangshan County, Guangdong, he promoted the spread of Marxism in southern China through newspaper publications and involvement with the May Fourth Movement and the Canton–Hong Kong strike. With his friend Tan Pingshan, he was one of the CCP's envoys to the Kuomintang (KMT) during the parties' First United Front and held several roles within that party. Elected to the CCP's Central Supervisory Committee in 1927, he was dismissed later that year due to his association with Tan.
