Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC)(Hindi: केन्द्रीय चयन पर्षद ��िपाही भर्ती'') is an organization under Government of Bihar to recruit Group 'D' civil servants for Bihar Police. The board is headed by a three-star rank Additional Director General or Director General level police officer. Current chairman of the commission is K.S. Dwivedi. History Central Selection Board of Constable was created by the Governor of Bihar in 2008 by making amendments to Bihar Police Manual. This amendment instituted the board and gave it the power to conduct written as well as physical fitness examinations and create the merit list according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation. The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) (Hindi: बिहार पुलिस अवर सेवा आयोग) is a Group 'C' civil service recruitment body for Bihar Police created by a bill of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The commission's purpose is to select applicants in various government departments for Group 'C' staff jobs in the Bihar Police according to the merits of the applicants and the rules of reservation. Sunit Kumar (born 10 November 1955), is a retired Indian Police Service (I.P.S.) officer of Bihar cadre in India, currently serving as Chairman of Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) in the state of Bihar.
