Central Science And Technology Commission
The Central Science and Technology Commission (CSTC) is a commission of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) that supervises and coordinates science and technology related policymaking across ministries, agencies, research institutes and industry. History The CSTC was established in March 2023 under CCP general secretary Xi Jinping as part of the plan on reforming Party and state institutions. The commission held its first meeting in July 2023. The Ministry of Science and Technology subsequently announced on its website that cadres were studying the outcome of the meeting. The Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, officially the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, is a political body that comprises the top leaders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It is currently composed of 205 full members and 171 alternate members (see list). Members are nominally elected once every five years by the National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. Ding Xuexiang (; born 13 September 1962) is a Chinese politician and the sixth-ranked member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. As the director of the General Office of the CCP, Ding serves as an important political aide of Xi Jinping, current General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), officially the Communist Party of China (CPC), is the founding and sole ruling party of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
